How cool would it be if this setup of the wwg would be with superheroes. Just a random thought. If you had to pick two powers and one weakness what would it be?



I would pick:
Teleporting and telekinesis
With a weakness of fire lol

For Rayven, it would obviously be flight, and probably clairvoyance.  Weakness would be blue eyed blonde chicks...

I've always thought the idea of a fed where you're not limited by "reality" would be cool. Like, you could have superpowers, or be from the future or past, or not even necessarily be human.

I don't see why it can't be that way here. I mean Stardust is technically not all that realistic. Wretch does all sorts of magic. Why the heck not have some guy be a superhero?

I ran the idea past Jim to do a separate child fed for WWG for more creative writing like stuff. Like you can take your characters here (or make new ones) and put them in an alternate universe. Like WWG Walking Dead! Or WWG Marvel! But I never got around to really establishing it.

If it's something people are interested in trying and Brad is cool with that addition I'd be down to do try and put it together for a trial run. It'd obviously be less promo writing and more crafting your characters alt. Storyline and interacting with other character. Like a beast open rp or something.

...idk maybe it's just me, but I always read peoples rps and live the characters and then I'm like: Man, I wonder what so-and-so would be like IN A ZOMBIE BREAKOUT!!! Who would they join forces with? Where would they decide to hide out? Ect ect

...but I like zombies...so....

Back in the very early 00's when I was just getting started w/ the whole e-fed thing, I joined up in this fed that was kind of like that.  Vampires and **** everywhere.  It was pretty interesting, but short-lived.

I tried to encourage people to do other sorts of roleplaying not based in wrestling. It didn't work out.

Maybe like once every so often someone would post a crisis event or a super villain plan and we would all RP about it. What we would do, how we would react, maybe how it effects our characters.

We could create secret identitys and form teams or work solo. So much back story and fun writing.

That's sort of why I was thinking giving the option of bringing over WWG characters might be a good idea. I mean, obviously since it wouldn't have a card anyone could make a new character if they wanted to. Or!  If they enjoy their wrestler character they can just bring 'em right over! Just an alternate universe version of them. It's not like we aren't all from the same fed.

Worst case, I'm down, you already tried, and Matt is down- so three of us! Best case everyone gets into it or even better new members and we can grow.

So,  I don't mind organizing it. I set up WEC for shits and giggles just to see if I could do it- so I'm confident I could manage the coding of setting up a site for a WWG spin off.

I'm going to get the a-okay from Brad and I might throw up some polls to kind of pick everyones brains as to what they want out of it. And when I get off Hiatus I'll get to work :)

Also do we just have as many powers as we want or are we doing the 2 and 1 weakness? cuz i think that's a pretty solid set up

As for powers in the game... I'd do 2:1 or as it was stated before a typical character's powers like saying 'Wolverine's powers' or maybe 'Super Soldier' - it's an enhanced dynamic of usual human conditions.  Whereas flight, super strength and telekinesis are stand alone traits that can be paired off.  Basically no "Supermanning" where one character has it all and their only flaw is a rock from a distant galaxy.

As for my powers....

Wretched Nobody
Powers:
-Incremental Superhuman Strength  (So like The Hulk... the more angry he gets more strong/durable he gets)
-Shadow Walker (In the darkness time and space are meaningless to him.  He moves without moving and appears anywhere from the shadows. *Note not exactly teleportation - as he needs the cover of darkness.)

Weakness:
-To shadow walk, he must have darkness so that power has a built in weakness.
-Distance from his Grace.  When separated from Grace his powers as a whole diminish with their time and distance.


Grace Brutal
Powers:
-Tactile Mimic (She Can temporarily utilize the powers of anybody she touches. Think Rouge without the side effects to the other person.)
-Electro Magnetic Surge (As a compliment to Nobody - she can emit an EMP that disables lights and electronics.)

Weakness:
-Uncertain Power Strain (Others are built to withstand their power's effects - she isn't, and using it takes a toll on her.  And for exactly how Long she has the powers to utilize is unknown.)

Kalib Hystaria:

Powers: Beetlejuice - metaphysical biochemical physical state, materializes non complex items (solid objects vs guns or Granada)
Weakness: Beetlejuice - limited to that reality by the constrains of his name being called three times. Can also be sent away by the same.

Powers: She's a witch - Watch Season 3 of American Horror Story (Coven) and you'll have an idea.

Weakness: The power of Christ compels her - But only if you know her real name...

So.....I guess the two powers and a weakness is just kinda a guideline then? Not a hard and fast rule?

Kid Genius:
1- Super Speed: Can perceive, think, and move at supersonic speeds.
2- Total Recall: Can perfectly remember and/or duplicate anything he has seen or read.

Weakness:
1) Extreme Calorie intake: Due to his incredibly fast metabolism if KG does not eat a steady stream of food his powers will grow weaker over time. Also any extra exertion will burn up his reserves faster.
2) Recall Limit: Kid's Total Recall does not allow him to copy the powers of that he does not already posses. ie. He could perfectly copy a guitar solo after having seen it but he could not shoot fire out of his hands after watching someone else do it.

Tony Mann:
1- Shapeshifting: Tony Mann has complete control over his personal molecular structure and can transform his body or parts of his body into whatever he can think of.
2- Energy Absorption: Tony Mann can convert energy that he comes into physical contact with into biofuel or "Juice" as Tony calls it. This allows him to change into more complex shapes and sustain himself indefinitely without the need for food, water, or air.

Weakness:
1) Colors: Regardless of what he changes into Tony maintains the color of whatever clothes he was wearing at the time. ie. if Tony was wearing a bright green shirt with blue jeans and red sneakers if he were to change into a tiger the tiger would be bright green with blue stripes and maybe red eyes or red paws. Tony could probably control this but that leads to his second weakness.
2) Personality: Tony, while not stupid, is not incredibly bright. He is easily trusting and naive, especially when it comes to women. Tony's limited master over his powers is often due to his lack of focus.

Trine Larsen

Powers;

1) Geokinesis: The ability to manipulate earth and minerals/materials derived from it.

2) Ecological Empathy: Sub-power of Geokinesis. Ability to sense the conditions of a surrounding environment from a psychic sensitivity to nature and an increased empathy for biological beings.

Weakness;

1) Must be in direct contact with the earth or material in order to manipulate. Electric charge can impede or altogether eliminate control over any material with an unnatural charge. Manipulates the earth in short bursts. To keep material in an unnatural state would take a prolonged use of energy- causing weakness.

2) Can lose ability if in an artificial environment or become overwhelmed by extreme emission of emotions. (Do to the increased empathy experiencing emotions that are not her own can become confusing or distracting.)

Exactly man, it's fine to elaborate on a power's name and limitations - no one has called me out for an escalating linear power path either, but we should avoid any omnipowerful beings.  There are possibilities as to having characters cross over here too.... like Trine is weakened by electric charge - but Grace can emit an EMP... those could cross over well but are greatly different powers.  The idea is creating a game we all play together to move on the story we all help write.  It's actually playing out not too badly.

So are they aware they all have powers already? Like would theybe suprised by other people's powers or would it be common place

I'm saying that they are aware That one another have powers - but maybe not exact details and description.  So far Kalib and Rayven have very obvious extra physical powers - whereas Wretch gets stronger/durable the more aggressive he gets, which would only be visible in minor details such as the horde biting him, possibly him off and suddenly he's ripping off heads and limbs with his bare hands while bites no longer sink into his flesh.  It's Iike I said - something around the idea of The Hulk without the big green theatrics.  But it's a linear power progression, angrier = more powerful and impervious.

I think it's good so many folks are sort of keeping character powers somewhat in line with their characters.  At least I think anyways.  Rayven uses the power of her mind, Kalib is dynamically super powered as per his persona, Trine is notoriously down to earth and her powers reflect that, The Losers makes for an intriguing duo though I think I can foresee some cool things if those two got working together.

Backstory:

2000
Scientists looking into space saw that there was a massive group of meteors heading in a direct course for earth. Though they at first tried to hide this from the public it eventually got out. In order to stop mass panic the governments of the world decided to launch a full scale nuclear strike. And while this strike did destroy some of the meteors there were still a great of them left and it seemed hopeless.

Luckily a few of the larger ones hit the moon but still even after burning up in the earth's atmosphere many smaller meteors came rocketing down from the sky. Because of the heat, speed, and nuclear many of them took on a crystalline appearance. The crystal meteors landed (some have said suspiciously) in every major city in the world. Some of the smaller ones hit the atmosphere and were broken down to dust and scattered across the planet. Though there was devastation the world seemed to only suffer minor damage compared to the end of days many were expecting.

However things did not stay calm for long...


2002
After the massive crystals were hauled away by the nations governments reports of people gaining strange, wondrous, and terrifying new abilities started popping up all over the globe. At first no one really knew what to make of people who had been given these "gifts". It became common thought that the properties of the crystal meteors along with a heaping dose of nuclear radiation had effected a certain set of the population changing them at their DNA. These people were called a lot of things around the world and in the United States they became known as G.E.M.s *pronounced Jems even though it's a G lol* (Genetically Enhanced Mutations).

2003
Public opinions on G.E.M.s ranged from thought they were the coming of the new golden age of humanity to unbridled terror. Eventually a UN summit was held in order to deal with the issues the world now faced.
The summit was to end in tragedy however as during the meeting something happened. The entire UN building exploded leaving only an empty craytor behind. This pushed most people into the complete fear and hatred of all G.E.M.s although there was no proof of that being the cause of the explosion. But with the world's governments all in disarray the after math allowed G.E.M.s to be a world wide scapegoat. The new governments in the world began hunting down anyone who displayed super abilities and locking them away or worse...most G.E.Ms in america did their best to hide their powers less their friends and neighbors turn them in.


2015 (present)

Life has more or less been the same since the UN incident. While G.E.Ms are still feared and looked down upon as freaks or monsters the whip has been loosened a bit. Many G.E.Ms would still only tell their closest friends or family about their condition but it is no longer a prision sentence to be one. The United States requires G.E.Ms to register their abilities like one would for a gun and many do though just as many are feared to have refused.
There are colonies of G.E.Ms who live only with others of their kind in a manor kind of like Native American Reservations. But those are only slowly starting to be normal in the eyes of the general public. For the most part people either keep it to themselves.

In fact the G.E.M. scare has slowly been replacing the headline with strange stories of disappearances all over the country possibly the world. Campers attacked by what seems to have been wild animals that leave not even bones behind. Also China recently shut down it's borders due to what has only been called a "Rabies epidemic". No one seems to have any answers to this and it seems that whatever this new development is....it might be something even bigger than the world realizes

That's why I opted for the Wolverine healing factor. That's how I can do crazy **** matches and be fine on Carnage next week

Jason King:
1- Gravitikinesis: Jason possesses the ability to mentally manipulate gravitons (that carry the attractive, gravitational force between atomic nuclei), enabling him to control gravity.
2- Density Control: Jason possess the ability to change his molecular structure. This ability manifests itself in Jason being able to either become completely intangible or so dense that he becomes harder than any known diamond. Jason can also effect things that are in his direct physical contact with this power, such as his clothes or other people.

Weaknesses:
1- Elemental Exceptions: Jason's Gravity powers do not work on precious metals such as gold, silver, rubies, sapphires, or diamonds. Also Jason's Density powers do not work on wood.
2- Density Restrictions: Jason can only stay intangible for as long as he can hold his breath as air, not already in his lungs, passes right through him in that state. When in his most dense state it causes his body significant effort to move. While Jason can counteract this to an extent with his gravity powers nimble moves ie. playing the piano, dancing, etc. are next to impossible.
