Title: WWE Talk; comments on other feds
Post by: J-Dub on January 12, 2017, 04:33:25 am
What the hell was Raw about? The longer they go after the "split" the worse it's getting. They have 30 writers, wish I was kidding about that, and they have what, almost 30 people on the roster, and they still give you the same matches each week. I love the New Day, but a 20 minute spot with a 5 minute match, is an insult to those who are backstage hoping to get a filler match. There is no wonder why SD! is doing better in the ratings because they have almost as many matches as Raw does with an hour less. Hell, NXT had 4 matches in an hour, and Raw only had 6 matches in 3. Yes I know I am just bitching but at the end of the day I question why I watch the entire show anymore. Anyone else find the show as a whole is getting worse? I'm not saying there weren't good spots, because there was, but it seems like a lot of the time used on weak promos could have been used for other matches.

In other news, TNA now called Owl Impact? WTF is that about?

Kenny Omega is almost certain that he is coming to WWE as long as they can get a schedule and money worked out. After WK its going to be in his favor. Do you think Cody will take over the lead spot for the Bullet Club, it's to big to just end it. Adam Cole would be another option, but right now Cody has the name power.

I have a hard time watching RAW anymore.  SD! Is where it is at for me.  I hate the authority figure **** on RAW too.  I agree with you, seeing the same matches over and over again is so boring.  SD! I keep up on because I love the storylines they are running.  They need to bolster their roster a little bit.

Also, I think Cody Rhodes should be the new leader of Bullet Club.  No offense to Adam Cole but I don't think he is ready yet and with Cody's name being huge it fits better imo.  Yeah they can't break up Bullet Club they are too popular.

Everything on Smackdown matters. Every single segment develops a character or moves a feud forward. Raw, in 3 hours, has filler - and STILL runs over the 3 hour timeslot every week. The talent is wasted. How are you supposed to be excited about KO v Reigns when they're fighting each other LITERALLY every week? One of the good things though is that most matches get decent time whereas SD seems to have shorter matches besides the main event.

Omega isn't going anywhere. He'll be IWGP Heavyweight Champion soon, probably at Dominion.

For me I don't mind the shorter matches on SD!  To me it just makes me want to see them go to war which they usually give at the PPV.  Half the time during RAW I'm checking the clock because its like oh here comes another long match between two people I've seen already....

I hope he stays..... Bullet Club Omega and the Elite are the best thing going right now and I love it.

I have had to wonder to myself if WWE is letting Raw fade a bit so they can let Smackdown shine again since - lets face it Smackdown was a glorified Main Event for quite a long time.  But all in all it's just in the way it is presented and played out as you have all said.  Like Corbin V Cena was actually a hell of a good match and it sorta killed the whole Super Cena trip because Corbin beat him like a botch until that Attitude Adjustment and even that came across kinda desperate/veteran and I don't know about anybody else but it seems very much like he wants to help the new talent grow.

Ummm, Corbin vs Cena was exactly like all the Cena matches we hate. Cena gets destroyed for 10 minutes by young fresh heel, whoops five moves of doom, Cena wins lol.

I'd prefer too see raw on 2 hours.

Omega already said he's leaving, there's nothing else for him to do according to him. So it's just a matter of where.

Okay, that's a fair perspective - but all in all - I found that Corbin was the one who carried the match.

I would agree, but I'm not sure if that was just Cena sucking or if he was over selling Corbin and his abilities.

Omega has said the exact opposite.

You know what's more important than a guy who's Probably going to WWE anyways?

This....

https://youtu.be/bMmYWj15_ts

Miz irritates me - Jericho irritates me even more for way, way longer... but both are talented men and the fan in me is glad that Miz lost his strap!  The Lunatic Fringe is Intercontinental!  I think this man deserves to be in some title race if not right where he is now in holding one.

How can you say that about Jericho?  Isn't he like some sort of national treasure for you?  LOL

Honestly, I love both Jericho and Miz for exactly that reason - they're irritating.  That makes them good heels.  You WANT them to lose.  I agree and disagree with you on the Miz here though.  I agree that he should step away from the IC title, he's been either holding it or fighting for it for the last few years solid.  However, I think he should get back in the world title picture again.  Does anyone else remember when he successfully defended the title against Cena at Wrestlemania?

Omega has said the exact opposite.

His tweets say different, maybe he is just trying to get a bigger payday from NJPW, which is always a possibility.

Taking time off =/= leaving.

He's being set up for a babyface run against Minoru Suzuki.

yeah but his contract is up and he said he doesn't know if he will sign another one with NJPW.

Kenny Omega ‏@KennyOmegamanX  · Jan 6
I will be stepping away from Japan to reassess my future. The path of my journey may change, but my goals will not

The most recent tweet about his statues, not to mention the one about saying wrestling John Cena.

Tamahashi posted a pic on Instagram of himself cleaning. Cena literally only ever posts troll ****.

Bullet Club aren't on the cards for the New Beginning shows in February. Does that mean they've all just left without a word?

Focus is now on Suzuki-gun. That's not a bad thing because Bullet Club is so bad right now. But they'll be back soon and ready for a renewed push.

Cody isn't on the card?

http://www.foxsports.com/wwe/story/njpw-new-beginning-2017-full-match-cards-set-011017

No Omega, Young Bucks, Cody, Cole, Fale, Guerrillas, Yujiro, Page, or Bone Soldier on either of the cards. Maybe a couple of them will be on the Road to New Beginning shows (checked the first one, no BC), but if they're all off the New Beginning shows, and Suzuki-Gun are getting 4 title matches (Jr Tag, Heavy Tag x2, Heavyweight), it really shows that the BC are kind of shelved while they play out Suzuki-Gun vs Chaos over the next month at the least.

Plus their Fantasticamania shows with CMLL start today, so it really doesn't hurt to shelve a stale act. BC aren't listed for any of those shows (7).

I'm 99% confident that Omega will be in the Heavyweight Championship match at Dominion (June 11) after they start building up his next shot. I'm reading absolutely nothing into Omega's tweets other than he's taking some time off, which is fair enough considering his last year. And even if the WWE offers are coming in, his value can only increase by staying with NJPW for another year.

Yeah, but in another year, he may not get the money he deserves, regardless of what he does over the next year. He will never have another year like this, so if he wants that money, he will have to get in now. He gets nothing from BC merch, and is decently paid, but who wouldn't want an AJ Styles pay check. You can have all the loyalties in the world, but at the point in his career, he knows he doesn't have too many more opportunities via his age to make a killing. As all the former wrestlers who have commented on it, all state, that he is at that point where he has to start thinking about money, because it wont be around for much longer. That's not to downplay his abilities, but if he's lucky, he will have 2 shots to make real money wrestling.
