To anyone who is interested…

Ultimate Online Wrestling is currently looking to expand its roster this year for Season 2 of our heavily story driven E-Fed that sort of reads and feels like a comic book. We’ve been open for 14 months and have posted 12 well written shows on the SteemIt platform. We have over 1600 followers on there and we use the platform to make a little money from the hobby that we love. We are a laid back E-Fed for adults and we only do about 1 show a month. There is a 2 Role Play limit per show with no word limit on individual role plays.

We are a unique E-Fed in that I reward my role player’s with the Crypto-Currency XP Coin which can be converted into Bitcoin on online exchanges. We also write and do our shows in a way that concentrates on an actual audience that reads our work on the SteemIt community network. So our work isn’t just consumed by people involved in the E-Fed, but also fans of our work on SteemIt and Twitter.

If you’re interested joining our roster and learning how we do things at Ultimate Wrestling you can join our discord channel link below. Our roster and staff are very friendly and willing to answer any questions you might have.

Discord Channel: r/https://discord.gg/mj6Msrf

Below are some of our shows so that you can get a feel for my writing style and our story-lines.

Obviously I can't find the time to participate at the moment, so I'm dropping the character. In the end, I've opted not to attempt to develop him for inclusion in other works, so it also feels like a bit of a waste. Plus, the character was going in the complete wrong direction straight away, so it's becoming essentially useless for me.

I'll still hang around, maybe visit once a week, but aside from that I'm out again.

That is really unfortunate... I honestly liked Savage a lot - mind you, that might be what you mean by him going the wrong direction lol.

It's too bad you are dropping him... but - if you do intend to come back as an in-ring persona again, I'd be all to happy to make myself available to bounce some ideas off of for that.  I know you're self-sufficient for creative purposes... I just happen to be enough of a fan of your writing that I'd love to help out if possible.

Since I'm retiring the character from this, as I feel the development has gone astray and I don't have the time to work him back on the right path, I felt like I should give some explanation on who or what exactly the character was supposed to do and clear up any lingering mysteries surrounding him. I'm not sure if these mysteries would ever have actually been answered over the course of the the run I had planned for him, but it's probably a bit integral into understanding how I wrote the character, and what history I was coming from.

First off, the name - Jack Savage being a pseudonym is something I addressed very early, in the first promo actually. It was a pretty simple name, adapted for reasons of reputation - "Savage" referencing his habit for vicious effectiveness and perceived ruthlessness, and "Jack" being adapted from "jack of all trades", as the character was supposed to have experience in a variety of combat arts. In the end, I'm going to be dropping the Savage part of the name is service of something else, or possibly just keeping him as Jack, for future writings, as I feel it better suits the mystery as well as the character.

Okay, now the reason that Jack doesn't have his own name anymore - and here is where we make a huge leap and I ask for a major suspension of disbelief - is basically because he's a non-aging transdimensional time traveler.

Still with me?

Jack is a man lost to time and to the universe, taken enough blows to the head not to know where he originally came from, and struggling to find his own identity. He makes use of "jumps" to learn, travelling back in time to learn combat skills from various masters of war over the ages, learning fighting styles from their originators, and so forth. I had initially placed a restriction on this - that he can only travel backwards in time, but that was more for the WWG's sake than anything, as I couldn't write sending him into the future. Another restriction was that once he travelled, he would then have to live out the days until he reached the point of his original travel time, before being able to go again.

I also play Jack with the inability to change the course of history. He was always there, in the past, and thus doesn't change the outcome of events - they always happened that way because he was there.

How'd I implement this aspect of his character into my writing? If you read my RP for R2R, you'd notice that I had Jack diagnosed with being unable to compete due to severe burns, then just days later showing up with only faded scars of the burns. In this case, Jack travelled back in time far enough to have his injuries heal and be ready for the next contest.

Where does Jack fit in with my writing? He's going to be the link between every piece of fiction I write. He's going to be the mystical character that shows up in my epic fantasy series, he's going to be in my post-apocalyptic war series, he's going to show up in my time-travel novel, and whatever else I have planned, I will find a place for Jack. He's an inter-dimensional time-travelling badass with the experience of a thousand warriors, a man that never ages a day, kicks the **** out of people in the name of justice, and continues to influence humanity until his dying day (whenever that may be - he'll probably get his own novel for that).

So boom, there it is. And now it's a little obvious why the character would not work.

One of what? A character summary? I'd have to go back and read a lot of stuff to even attempt to make it coherent.

Well if you are up for it... maybe you could use that as a means to stay an important part of WWG.

Just shooting ideas here but maybe we could have an actual WWG reporter or even aThe WWG Expert... someone above Jackson Green and the interview team... perhaps you could do interviews with handlers - done like shoot interviews, or perhaps character specials?

I would even suggest a test run... do one for Dante maybe?  I mean the time you have in - makes you very sincerely qualified.  You are one of our best from the ground zero days... you clearly care about the place... I am just thinking out loud here but you said you'd need the right reasons to bring Dante back... storylines aside... this would be helpful to WWG.  It removes the Need to have a plot... because he will have a job - that is important, it has not been done by anyone and... like I say you have some special traits that makes you a solitary and prime candidate.

Staff has been trying to figure a means to offer you a position just for you that won't demans on your time.  If you saw fit to do this... nobody could or would do it like you.

Or... what about your broadcast idea?  You could do it on your own... or Jace and I have experience doing audio shows.  Maybe Paulo could provide some contrast?  As I said... I am just popping off ideas.

It's all well and good to profile my own characters since I know everything there is to know about then, but it's a hell of a lot harder and time consuming to do it for others. I just don't have the time for the amount of research a job like that would require.

I was thinking less intensive... like give a handler a battery of questions - and work with that.  I didn't mean to make you research intensive details.  More so interviews and some simple copy & paste of matches and promos.  Nothing says you have tight deadlines either.  I don't think anybody would expect them weekly or anything.

Staff as a whole just want to keep your quality of writing, your experience -  and to a degree comfortable for you... we just want to give you a niche and a reason to take part without having to take too much time away from yourself.
