As the road to Lethal Injection comes to a near end, I had the pleasure of sitting down with Angus Connolly to talk about this weeks Legacy and to try and get some information out of him on to what to expect for the upcoming PPV. According to the General Manager, this week will set the tone for the road to Soul Survivor. At this weeks Legacy, there will be two major set up announcements. The first one is the heat between Jakob Hystaria and Scott Carr. He swore that this week there will be some sort of civility onto signing and locking in a match:
The two of them have run around doing their
own thing for too long. I can't have anymore loose
cannons doing as they pleased. It is difficult enough
having Richardson and the Legion doing the same thing.
This week, there will be a solid expectation on what
they (Jakob and Scott) will be going through at the
PPV. At the end of the show, I will come out and
personally announce the card for the PPV. There
they will come down to the ring to sign this special
contract for the Tag Team titles. We have had
teams break up all the time, being these two men
are the current champions, this calls for a special
ordeal, where one will walk away with both titles
free to pick a new partner, or hold them solo.
He had also expressed his worry about the Soul Survivors match in two months with Jason Richardson and the Legion possibly intimidating or injuring other competitors who may be entered into that match. We already know that Jason Richardson and Apex Athlete winner Spider will be involved. As of yet, we still do not know who else will be involved in that match. After Richardson's State of the Union address, it seems that he is working on something behind the scenes that may help to secure that he keeps the championship around his waste.
I have had several discussions with the
Tizo family. They are worried that no matter
how much I try keep things under control,
that everything is slowly slipping away. The
control should be in the hands of the company,
not the people they employ. But at the same
time these wrestlers put us in a difficult
position. The WWG is nothing without their fans,
fans who come to see the talent, and they know
this. So they keep pushing the envelope and now
we are stuck with ether allowing it, or firing those
wrestlers. I know Gabriel Tizo, even though he
has fired people in the past, he will not fire that
many people at once. So it falls on me. I have to
come up with ways to keep the show moving
forward, and throwing a curve so to make it
difficult to achieve what they want. I can bring in
new talent and make it overall difficult for the
wrestlers. Being I have been put on a 6 month
review, I am fighting for my own livelihood. So
when I make my announcement for Lethal Injection,
I will be announcing a match and the competitors
that will determine who will be in the Soul Survivor
match. Something the WWG has not done in a long
time. In the end, I am going to force my own will
on these ego motivated wrestlers. It is now, them
or me.
With Lethal Injection just around the corner, we can only imagine what Mr. Connolly will have up his sleeve to keep order at a normally chaotic night. This is truly shaping up to be one of the biggest PPV's of the year, and it is only a set up for Soul Survivor.
