The Only Absolute

[Alex Anders]

Alex Anders was asked to have a sit down interview with WWG.Com just hours before Shockwave went live, in light of his participation in the match to crown the first WWG Absolute Championship, among other things.  About his title match:

Anders: It's funny how one loss can change the momentum of everything moving forward.  I won match after match since WWG first went live, and the fans ate it up... The Forever Underdog was winning, and the fans were happy.  I took my first loss two weeks ago to the Wretched Nobody, but the fans were still on my side.  They still want to see the Nerdist succeed, and me getting placed in the Absolute title match was the next best thing for the WWG Universe it seems... I have the opportunity of a lifetime and I won't let it pass me by.

About possibly being the youngest champion in World Wrestling Generation history:

Anders: Many would be surprised to learn that I'm only 22, given my fluidity in the ring.  The fans are as surprised as many of the veterans here.  If I win tonight, then I still become the youngest champion in WWG history.  I might not be the youngest World Champion in history, but a record is a record, and I've been breaking those since day one.

His opinion on his favorite match in the WWG thus far:

Anders: The cage match with [Big Bad] Bey was huge.  It really seemed to get the fans on their feet, and delivering the Pi-R-Squared from the top of the cage was something insane.

His thoughts on Bey, and if a team is in the works:

Anders: You can see it in the way we perform.  We both have the same philosophy in the ring.  He wants to give the fans what they want, and I AM what the fans want.  We'd definitely make for an interesting tag team, that's for sure.  He's older than me, but he's just getting his feet wet in in-ring competition, so I know I could be a “role model” for him, I suppose.

Any final thoughts on his match tonight:

Anders: I do have a few things I would like to get off my chest before the title match.  First, Frederick, thank you for giving me this opportunity to show you and the WWG Universe, once again, that I am the real deal.  You're right about one thing you said about mine and Nick's match, I am hungry, and there's no doubt that he is too, and we will do ANYTHING to walk out as the first ever champion.  And to Nick, I heard your candid interview where you and Starla tore me to bits.  No, I don't have the supermodel girlfriend, and yes, I am the nerd, the geek, the weirdo, and the guy who doesn't deserve to be in a championship match, live on pay-per-view, but I have something you will never have... I have the heart, the determination, and the wits to win every uphill climb that is put before me.  I don't care if you wear a mask and go by Nick Sadistic, or if you take it off and go by Nick Savage... Either way, you are just another uphill battle to climb, and if you know anything about me, I make believers out of everyone I step in the ring with... As the bell rings after the match ends... The fans will be cheering... The arena will be rocking to the sounds of Applause... And Alex Anders... The Forever Underdog... Will stand tall, holding the WWG Absolute Championship...

As “Applause” from The Holophonics plays, the Miami crowd hops to it's feet.  Alex Anders comes out from around the ring curtain to the roar of fans cheering for the Forever Underdog.  He stops at the top of the entrance ramp and looks around.  The smile across his face shows as Anders makes his way down to the ring.  He slides in, and hops to he feet quickly.  The music starts to die, and he asks for the microphone from the ring announcer...

Anders:  It's a beautiful night here in MIAMI, FLORIDA!!!!  Right here, in this very ring, for the next few minutes, the fans are going to be in for a treat.  I, the Forever Underdog... The Nerdist... The Leader of the Nerd Herd, takes on Nick Sadistic... Savage... to decide the first Absolute Champion in the World Wrestling Generation.  It can be said of my opponent that I am an absolute... An absolute ZERO.  He believes that I shouldn't be here... You know who else thought that?  Manny Vrakas thought that... Twice... The Big Bad Bey thought that... I don't hear either of them saying that now... Nick, the only absolute TONIGHT is that you are tangling up with one of the hardest working individuals in our industry, and I will not back down for a second... The only absolute is that the fans are about to get one of the best championship matches in history tonight, and everyone tuning in and watching from their seats will be amazed at what two men will do to each other to be claimed... The first... Believe in the Nerdist...

Anders hands the microphone back to the ring announcer and waits in the corner for the arrival of Nick Savage.

Your character contrast to Nick - even an unmasked more human-seeming, Nick - is absolutely bar none and fantastically stellar.  I always adore the energy Alex is able to bring with him.  Dead serious... many a time has come and gone that I've read your work and genuinely been envious of your ability to illicit a sincere feeling of wanting to be running in the middle of the Nerd Herd.

The whole persona you play with Alex is something that should be laid down in a "How to E-fed" textbook if one were ever to exist.  Alex doesn't take his loss or his potential short comings as a problem... it's as if he goes out there and kicks ass for every poor schmo who has been trapped in a locker, wedgied, or caught hand buffing the trouser trophy by old aunt Gerty, to Princess Leia in her slave costume.  Alex gives an honest sense that nothing can deviate him from his nth degree goals - and as long as you keep doing rp's like this... nothing ever will.
