Jade's 6 Shot Photo Album

Okay, I said when I'm back from my LOA I'd do a 6 shot photo album like Scott did, soooo here we go

1) My family. Sticking to the stereotypical big Asian family rumours, I've never been able to actually go ahead and count exactly how many Tuongs there actually are, but the front runners for my favourites in the world are my mum, my dad and my little brother. It sounds cliché to go on about how great your family are, but it's really true. My dad's worked 12-16 hour shifts almost every day of his life since he moved here from Vietnam as a teenager and has scraped together everything he can for me and my family, letting us have the best life he can provide for each of us. So that's number one for you, and here we are (minus momma who was taking the photo) at my graduation recently



2) My friends. I'm a total sentimentalist when it comes to friendships and there have been a few very special people come into my life over the years who have helped me become the person I am today. First up is my partner in crime, my Italian soul mate Stefania who I met only a few years ago when I started university. As soon as we met we were like sisters within minutes and we've become pretty much the two headed monster of our group of friends by now... And the second picture is of me and my friend Zack, who I've known ever since we were like...10 I think. We went to the same secondary school, college and university and he's one of the best friends I've had. Unfortunately he's travelling now and it's much harder for us to stay in touch these days, but every time we hang out again it's just like old times. I'd do anything for these two.



3) Okay so now for number three. There's no way I'm going to talk about friends and those who mean the most to me and NOT mention perhaps the best person I've ever known. I've seen the topic that was created by his sister Sky on here from back when we all lost him (thanks again Scott for sending me the link), and that, along with the response I got from the majority of the members here when I first signed up and mentioned his name was so touching to me. Everywhere this guy went, whether it was online or in real life, he made friends in an instant and to this day I've still never come across anybody who ever had a bad thing to say about him. We may have lost him over 2 years ago now, but his memory lives on stronger than ever amongst his friends and family, and to this day if I'm ever feeling sad, all I have to do is look at all the pictures of him that we gathered after he passed away and in seconds I'm smiling again. Of course, I'm talking about one of my closest friends, Orion. Or as I assume some may prefer to remember him as around here: L.



4) Travelling. I thought this would be a pretty good tangent from talking about Orion since the guy was almost ALWAYS travelling during the last few years of his life. Since he passed away I decided to take more opportunities to do the things he loved to do and travelling was definitely near the top of the list. Over the past two years I've gone to New York, Texas, Cape Town, Singapore, Japan and the Philippines and I don't plan on stopping any time soon....until I get more money to go places again of course This is when we found a beach with literally nobody on it at all somewhere in the Philippines not too long ago, so of course this picture had to be taken :')



5) Londonnnnnn. I may love travelling and seeing the world, but I was born and raised in London and no matter where I go, I'm always going to be a London girl at heart. My parents individually moved to East London from China and Vietnam when they were both around 19, met, fell in love, and started what became our family soon after. London may have it's problems (although so does everywhere else), but to me it will always be home. This is my view of the city from my house since we moved more South East when I was a teenager.



6) Aaaand for my last one I guess I'll go for one of my biggest addictions of my life. TV. It's literally and obsession by now but one I have no problem with I can happily sit back and have a TV marathon of most shows that I've liked over the years, whether its rewatching Breaking Bad/Arrested Development/Friends/The Walking Dead/Anything Ricky Gervais-related for the millionth time, or watching things from my childhood, everyone I know in real life knows me as one of the biggest TV addicts ever. And you know what? I regret nothing

1 - Please don't tell me you did accounting? I know London is different, but come one.... please!!

2 - I can't believe it has already been close to 2 years, still a dominant memory the day we found out.

3 - I like this, of course I will keep to my word and have one out before weeks end, just have to figure out the picture thing. But I like how yours (sorry Scott) feels more like a photo album/journal. I can almost picture this going as an exit to a feel good movie. It shows a lot of your personality in it and that is always great.

Haha dw that's one Asian stereotype I was never involved with, I've always sucked at anything to do with maths - I was studying English and creative writing

Yeah it's weird to me, it feels like a lifetime ago since Orion passed but at the same time it feels like it all happened yesterday as well... Like I said though, I'm so glad to see his memory is still honoured and thought of even this length of time since it all happened.

Looking forward to seeing yours and anyone else's who's thinking of posting one too Scott was right about this being a great way for people to get to know each other better which is always something I love to do
