Well I can say that I was a Seahawks fan before they won the Super bowl. And I 100% agree with Slip on the **** bandwaggers I'm tired of them acting like they know when they don't! I live in Oregon so that's been my team for the NFL. I don't seat here and watch them all the time, cuz I could give a **** about watching it 24/7 I have better things to do like sit here and talk to you all, whom Ive never meet, whom are more my friends than anyone in my **** town.

"Bandwagoners" are not a bad thing. How are you to decide whether their phony of not? Fact is, people will care more about something that somehow relates to them if that something is doing well. You saw it last year with the FIFA world cup. All of about 2 people in US care about football, but the world cup comes along and suddenly Tim Howard is a god and the epitome of 'Murica. People got interested in the sport and its now growing. A similar thing happened in cricket where I'm from. Last year the Hurricanes were averaging around 9000 to a game. Then they made the final, and now we've averaged just over 14000 to each home game. Yeah, it pisses me off with all the extra traffic I have to deal with, and yeah, a lot of the parents who bring their kids should leave them at home, but it's great for the club, great for the sport, and great for the economy.

Bandwagoning is how a lot of genuine appreciation begins and grows - it stimulates growth in many markets. And calling people "phonies" just because they've started liking something they didn't before - well that just makes you sound like Holden Caulfield, who is widely regarded as a moody, angsty teenage ****.

I hate the people who just follow the winning teams jumping on that bandwagon is annoying. Its like pick a damn team and stick with them, stop changing every year or week cause there winning.
