After her bout we see Trine Larsen exiting her dressing room, dabbing at her forehead with a towel that blinds her to an unexpected confrontation... Grace Brutal rips the towel away from Trine's face, throwing it to the floor. ”Hello!”
Grace ~ You bile raising, sickly sweet bubble gum coated - winter white smile sporting, goodie two shoes little SKANK! You listen to me and you listen good! If you don`t Back the F--K off, I’ll maim you… I will f--k you up, do you understand me? ~
For a moment Trine is taken off guard and the initial onslaught holds her at bay, but it doesn’t take much of Grace’s pause to have Trine remembering which of them is Actually dangerous. Trine squares up to Grace, in any match, any day - Trine would walk circles around Grace… but this isn’t about titles and win-loss records. ”Who do you even think you are? Don’t you talk to me like that.”
Grace ~ Oh yeah? Yeah you posture up, pro wrestler… when there are referees and rules you’ll beat me eleven times out of ten. But you should think about a few things, Trine…. you’re a very, very beautiful woman. Hell, what can I say? I don’t even Like girls and this close you’ve even got Me feeling a bit humid….. you should consider your beauty, Trine. It won’t last forever but it doesn’t have to last the month either. You may rule that ring, chicky… but I was feared by inmate and guards alike in a God Damn Insane Asylum, Okay!? I Can truncate the wraths of time and I Will have a smile on my face while I carve a permanent one into yours! You stay away from him and we’ll be Just Fine… keep on this little tail wagging escapade of yours and I’ll straight up disfigure you. There won’t BE a match… there will just be a series of plastic surgeries to clean up the mess I make of your pretty, pretty face. ~
Trine’s not pleased with the threats, but she notices Grace’s eyes starting to well up with tears. This certainly isn’t about titles and win-loss records, this is about something else entirely. Something that takes Trine back a step. Standing before her isn’t a confrontational, diminutive, ring manager. What she was presented with was a desperate woman, a desperate woman who usually demanded extreme measures on a Good day. The cameras may be rolling, but Trine seems to wonder if this isn’t too real for t.v.
Grace ~ He’s Mine… some people only get one, some even get none at all. Look at you - you’re pretty, you’re popular. When is the last time you had Regular Looking People Problems? You could have anyone, and good god, you up the stakes by still being charitable enough to the male gender to date someone like Leif! Anyone who doesn’t like you - myself included… doesn’t like you, because you’re perfect and we aren’t. I am Not perfect, I don’t have much of anything in life But The Wretched Nobody is Mine… Okay? He’s Mine, and I’m His, and we are having enough problems right now without you dragging his attention away from he and I fixing those problems. ~
Grace drops to her knees at the feet of Trine, the tears have begun to flow seamlessly down her doll white face. Long blurred streaks of eye makeup slither down her cheeks - ”Grace, you need to relax.” Grace drags a few deep breaths and pleads...
Grace ~ He’s the only thing I’ve got in this life… I am a terrible person… I have demons in my head, Trine… and he soothes them. His “gimmick” is Me, okay? He doesn’t need me to stay in control - I need him. I think you see it… you see in him what I do. He’s Beautiful, isn’t he? There’s something so pure about him - it’s like this tiny focused point of blinding white light in the farthest depths of darkness. He has an innocence beneath the chaos. He’s chosen you, Trine… just like he chose me. And I hope there is love enough in him for the both of us - but I just don’t know if there is, and unlike you I can’t risk it. The Wretched Nobody is the only thing I have in life…. please don’t take him away from me…. please? ~
Grace, weeping - lifts herself to her feet. Trine has a single streak down her face, there’s a truth to this demented woman beneath all her disruptive behavior. She’s in love with a monster - and we’ve all been there, Am I Right!? Still, Trine seems to see Grace’s point. What is she without The Wretched Nobody besides a former insane asylum inmate with no friends, family or life outside this business…. all thanks to The Wretched Nobody. ”You need to be more kind to him. He’s a good guy and he needs a good woman. That’s why he likes being my friend. I’m nice to him, I treat him with the same respect I do everybody else. The Wretched Nobody is my Friend. I don’t ‘want’ your man. Keep him, you two are a cute couple! But I won’t reject him. I won’t shun him just to make you feel better. He just wants a friend. Why don’t You try being more of a Friend to him?”
Grace ~ I will… I promise... You're so Right. If I am going to fix things I'm going to have to fix myself. He deserves better than I have given him lately. ~
Grace nods and walks away - Trine looks on concerned for what she just witnessed Grace go through. A rollercoaster of emotion like that must have taken their toll on Grace.... who continues to add distance with her back to Trine and an ever growing wicked smile creeping across her face.
