It's perfectly fine to stand beside what you produce.  However, when no effort is given in that product to indicate that something is merely a tribute style video and not an official thing, confusion can begin.

It goes further when regardless of circumstance the choice in song is a wildly influenced BDSM sounding song, set to the images of men brooding at the  camera. The intent is lost. Am I supposed to be afraid? Am I supposed to be disgusted? Is it a joke? The more questions you have to ask the less effective it is. Its not that the song was just a poor choice, its completely out of the spectrum of being relevant.

Stand beside it, haters gonna hate and all that. But you just made a music video that makes every character look/sound like rapists. That's a lot of ammo for anyone to use against you.

If it didn't make sense, why post it? If you wanted to post it, should it make sense? You can dance around it all day. I was gonna leave well enough alone until the backlash on creative input. I'm offering advice, I support you guys in your "**** the haters" stance. But don't **** on someone offering feedback and support to help make something better.

Fights usually happens when both people are mad and have something to prove. I'm not mad and didn't need to prove anything.

I'm encouraging them to remain by their choices. But I'm also trying to point out why sometimes it doesn't work and try to offer some kind of advice. Whether it's heard or taken is of no concern to me. This is serving more as an example of people not taking criticism well. Not whose better.

But seriously i agree with being able to take criticism and run with it positively or ignore it completely. simple as that.

However i totally disagree with the song bit because i LOVED the song. It was creepy a la Goldust sorta mind games. It does seem a tad of a departure from how i have always read the NM but hey groups change. Not to mention if it's just a promo video people use different songs all the time for that kinda stuff so i am down

I agree, that's what I was trying to point out with my "big words" post. There wasn't any sort of set up. If there was something to give it substance as to why  Derrick would pick that song we wouldn't have this conversation.

At the end of it all though, it is what it is, and what's done is done. I'll stick to what I said in the shoutbox, if people want my feedback I'll give it to them in PM form, not public.

I am the last person in the world that has to prove anything, not in life, my mind, or here. I care less if anyone likes what I do or not. I was bored, and you responded and it was fun. The object was achieved because people started talking after two days of nothing. Besides actually "not liking" someone takes energy, that which I rather not use.

Gawd almighty guys, Thanks for J for doing the video for me, He showed me the tune to go with it, I liked it, It was my choice and thought it went well with Derrick's Character. He's not one for music and doesn't know his tunes so i thought it was right for the character to pick this one. It's just a bit of fun fella's so there's no need for all this crap so just chill out and grab a beer.
