Trine’s watched the man with the cellphone and an all too familiar jacket intensely- she could just barely see his cheek press up with a smiled from the angle she’d been at. Her heart picked up a rapid beating, the anticipation of waiting to get a good look at his face- because he looked like Kid. The way his shoulders seemed slope just a little, the shape of her arms as he started to type something. His hair had been that same light brown, with the dirty blonde strands that seemed pick up when the light hit them just right,

It looked like Kid, but there was no way.

She watched him swivel, his blue eyes looking everywhere, but where she stood for a brief moment until they’d locked with hers. As soon as he smiled she felt her chest go tight- the only thing she could think to compare it to was when you got power bombed through the announcer's table….but if that felt…..amazing. Trine couldn’t will her body to move.

”….Surprise!”
”....wha…” was all she could manage from where she stood.

Then it was as if her body had snapped awake and that urge to run full sprint to Kid had kicked in all at once, and so suddenly she barely had time to register her foot left the ground to move in the first place. She hadn’t even bothered to hang up the phone as she all but ran straight into his chest and threw her arms around him.

”Oh my God, you have no idea how much I missed you,” she said into the fabric of his shirt, not willing to loosen the hug enough to lean back and look up at him just yet. There were a thousand questions all pushing to the forefront and none of them wanted to wait in line. ”If this is just a dream I’m going to be so pissed…”

She squeezed tighter as if that would better solidify this as reality.
