To anyone who is interested…

Ultimate Online Wrestling is currently looking to expand its roster this year for Season 2 of our heavily story driven E-Fed that sort of reads and feels like a comic book. We’ve been open for 14 months and have posted 12 well written shows on the SteemIt platform. We have over 1600 followers on there and we use the platform to make a little money from the hobby that we love. We are a laid back E-Fed for adults and we only do about 1 show a month. There is a 2 Role Play limit per show with no word limit on individual role plays.

We are a unique E-Fed in that I reward my role player’s with the Crypto-Currency XP Coin which can be converted into Bitcoin on online exchanges. We also write and do our shows in a way that concentrates on an actual audience that reads our work on the SteemIt community network. So our work isn’t just consumed by people involved in the E-Fed, but also fans of our work on SteemIt and Twitter.

If you’re interested joining our roster and learning how we do things at Ultimate Wrestling you can join our discord channel link below. Our roster and staff are very friendly and willing to answer any questions you might have.

Kid sat as he looked out the window. The night was warm but the wind felt nice. The combination of the two making it the perfect feeling...at least for Kid. He was the kind of guy who needed both a blanket and a fan going so there was a good chance he was just odd that way. At the moment though he was just happy to feel something positive.

His eyes drifted down to the phone in his hands. The name on the contacts screen had not changed since the last five times he looked down. He been keeping phone calls down to next to nothing as almost every other minute he had his phone on hit had been bombarded by people trying to figure out the state of Tony's condition. Some of been friends and family, Kids and Tonys, most had been press and bottom feeders or people had trying to snag a scoop.

It had been a while since Trine had first visited Tony. The days had been blurring together so much it was hard to tell how many exactly. Kid wasn't sleeping all that much. Trine had come down a few more times but unlike Kid who was out of commission until the WWG brass figured out what to do with him now that Tony was...out, Trine had a career that she had to continue. Kid had remember watching the episode of Carnage with Tony and Tony's parents from the hospital room. Tony's mom had to leave during the match with The Wretched Nobody and again anytime a member of the group who attacked Tony at Ground Zero came on.

Unlike before he and Trine hadn't stopped texting each other since her first visit. Mostly it would be her checking in on Tony, who hadn't changed one inch from where he was placed every time the nurses moved him, and then checking up on Kid. It was Kid's lifeline to sanity knowing that she was only a text message away. However now, as he sat leaning back against the seat, Kid thought to himself if calling was too much. He didn't want to burden her more than what she already had on her plate. But at the same time...

Kid's finger slipped and he realized that he had hit the call button on accident.

KG: Oh crap! crapcrapcrapcrap

The phone already rung once before Kid could think to stop the call and now he was fighting with him self. Did he cut it off now and make it look like a mistake. But then wouldn't she call him back and he would have to explain that he freaked out and hung up like a 6th grader! Kid Genius slapped a palm against his forehead as the ringing sound was interupted by the clicking sound of someone answering their phone.

Being in Las Vegas was bittersweet. On one hand; it reminded her of the last time she’d been there. When Tony, Rayven, Kid, Chris, and herself had been out for tood and drinks. The fact that Tony had worn his newsies outfit out. Discussing which Green Lantern was better with Kid. And the looks on everyones face when Chris brought out their swimsuits.

 On the other hand;....it reminded her of the last time she’d been there. And that out of that group of five she was the only one there. That Tony was locked away in a hospital. That Rayven was locked away in a prison psyche ward. That Kid was spending a lot of time locked away in his own head.

They’d been texting, which had been a welcomed relief. It felt a little less lonely having him to share the day with. Sending pictures of interesting people or things she ran into. She’d gotten Tony a suvonier statue of Elvis in his famous dance pose- his waist was on a spring so when you flicked him he’d move.

It was hokey, but...for some reason she felt like she needed to get him it.

They’d texted so frequently she would have been lying if she said there weren’t a fee times she wanted to just call and leave him on speaker phone for the day. Even just the silence and empty air of knowing he was on the line was an appealing thought.

But if he hadn’t called yet it would have been weird.

Then her phone rang and the caller ID picture of Kid with his forearms resting on the top rope, standing in a pair of jeans and a T-shirt (she’d forgotten what had been on the front of it), shooting a finger gun at the camera with a wink.

She’d just stepped out of the elevator and into the hotel lobby with her phone in her hand and had nearly dropped it trying to answer the call in time.

”Hello? Are you okay? Is Tony alright?”

A phone call seemed urgent. Especially since they’d mostly been texting until that point.

There was a spike in Kid's throat as heard Trines voice on the other line. She had sounded scared and he it was just then he realized that him calling her out of the blue like this would probably send her spiraling into the worst possible scenario.

KG: NOnonononono! Trine. I'm sorry no everything is fine. i mean everything is..the same. This isn't an emergency.

The fact that Trine's first thought was for the health and safety of him and Tony was another check in the "Trine Larsen is kind for this world" column. The fear in her voice had panicked him a little and made him shift in his seat a little.

KG: yeah no this is not a call about anything bad. i'm sorry this was...uh this was not well thought out. I just..um...Argh...hold on a second.

Kid put the phones receiver in his palm and then hit his head against the window three times. One day Kid resolved to find the wizard who had cursed him with this horrible awkwardness and slay him. KG put the phone back up to his ear and smiled even though he knew Trine couldn't see him.

KG: I'm gonna start over...Hi Trine, it's me Kid...remember from work. You hit me with a yoga ball one time, i texted you that picture of that ninja cat 45 minutes ago and we kinda held hands once...remember me?

He laughed a small defeated laugh. At this point Kid Genius knew it was better to lean into his nervous skid that try and jerk the wheel to be any "cooler". That would just cause a spin out and he'd crash and burn.

Trine smiled moving around the corner of the wall that house the elevators, pushing through the glass doors and into the busy strip of hotel casino. She pressed the phone tighter to her ear as she listened to Kid’s voice, before she reached the entrance at the front. Large, glass, doors ran the length of the wall on both sides, two elaborate, leather, benches sat like bookends.

She didn’t want to say it was good to hear that everything was the same since ‘the same’ was still pretty bad, but it was relief to know that the phone call hadn’t been to relay any...worse...news.

”Hmm...you know what- that does kinda ring a bell...that whole ninja cat thing was pretty amazing. I mean the hand holding was pretty great too, but ninja car is kinda a big deal.” she teased, sitting down on one of the benches.

A few people passed from one set of doors to the next, their conversation a short burst before the second set of doors closed behind them.

”....how are you doing?”

While it still made him a bit nervous it was still pretty nice to hear Trine's voice. Seeing her on TV in her match on Carnage had made him realize just how much he missed having her at the hospital with him and Tony. Texting was nice, safe, he could craft what he wanted to say exactly how he wanted to say it. There was less room for error. But even so the charge from actually being with someone in the same room was something you couldn't recreate with a million emojis and hearing Trine joking with him was a very close second.

Trine's question to him though was a loaded one...

KG: Right now?...

Kid thought to himself as dazzling lights flickered outside the window.

KG: um i am doing as well as to be expected. I um...

There was a lot of background noise on Trine's end of the phone.

KG: hold on...hello?...Trine?...

Kid pressed the phone a little closer to his ear and squinted his eyes as if his lack of sight could somehow make his ears listen harder.

KG: You know what, hold on a second, Where are you?

”Uh- the lobby...ish. Well….it’s…..it’s Vegas so it’s insane. Hold on, hopefully it’s quieter outside.”

Trine stood up from the bench, pressed her hip into the second set of doors, and pushed out into the warm night air. The days had been so hot it felt like you were melting in your own skin, but at night it was comfortably cool as the surrounding desert released all of the heat from the day into the night sky.

It was a world of difference, but every now and then there was wild shout from the people that the novelty of Vegas as a whole had yet to wear off with. That wild sort of freedom afforded when you thought there were no consequences. There were. Trine had seen a couple people dragged off since the active roster arrived.

They’d all been checking into the hotel, dragging their bags behind them after getting off of the plane when a little old woman had been dragged through the lobby and out of the hotel’s casino by police. The crazy thing was as they pulled her the back of her Hawaiian style shirt lifted and sure enough- tattooed on the woman’s lower back was stylized lettering: ‘Insert Coin Here’

She couldn’t believe it! The sound of amusement mixed with disbelief had bursts from her lips in a short gasp. Some of the other wrestlers around her had raised an eyebrow, trying to figure out what it was that had shocked her enough to make a noise, but it was too late. The old, fire eyed woman was gone.

”Sorry, it’s hard to sort of find quiet here,” she picked up a slow walk, watching the concrete pass beneath her feet, ”...but yeah, I get what you’re saying…”

A frown slowly worked across her face, a strange feeling of homesick starting to settle in her chest. It wasn’t the same as when she’d just missed her own space, her own apartment, and the familiar surroundings of California. It was homesick, but for the presence of a person. The hospital was not home. It never felt like home when she’d visit. It wasn’t the same warm in your heart feeling as sitting in a living room. It was cold and unforgiving, but being around Kid and being around Tony even if he hadn’t opened his eyes yet made it feel warmer. Almost hopeful, but now she knew better than to hope for anything in a place like that.

 She was homesick for the two of them and the city of Las Vegas was no help at all.

”...I wish I could be there…”

The sounds coming out of Kid's phone were a kolidsicope of audible distractions.

KG: Trine? Hello?..

he could hear the sound of her voice but for some reason he couldn't seem to understand what she was saying. It cut in and out and when it was there he still heard mostly the noise in the background.

KG: Trine? Can you hear me and i just can't hear you?

He thought for a second and realized if that were the case Trine would have no way to communicate that back to him. Figures the first time in he had no idea how long he actually had the guts to call up Trine on the phone they would have to deal with something like this. He prayed to the phone gods for a little help but, as it was when they autocorrected him into awkward situations, they did not seem to be in a mercy giving mood today.

KG: Trine if you can hear me hold on! Just...stupid phone we are going to fight later...Trine?

Kid pressed the button that a soft clicking sound. The seat belt he had been wearing zipped back up and away and Kid tapped the glass of the cab he had been riding in. He moved the phone a polite distance from his face.

KG: Right here is fine dude...

He took out some cash form his wallet for a fair and tip.

KG: This is you. Thanks again.

Kid got up from his seat and pushed the door open and stepped out into the cool but still somehow warm night. The Vegas lights shined all around him but Kid was scanning the sidewalk for one beautiful blonde head in an attempt similar too finding one fish in the an ocean. He knew that this was the right hotel because this is the one that WWG had said in their email was up for a good price for the Roster members. None of them were required to stay here as was the usual deal. But if they wanted a slight room and board discount this would be the hotel that had been arranged to give it to them.

Now on the strip outside his taxi, Kid could understand how the outside noise of the city of sin could distract a phone conversation.

KG: Trine? i don't know if you can hear me. Did you leave the lobby?

Trine furrowed her eyebrows, taking the phone away from her ear to find the bars on her phone had dwindled down to two. Which, go figure, she had better reception inside a huge building full of hundreds of things that could possibly interfere with a phone signal than outside on a sidewalk.

”...I hear you, but I don’t think you can hear me…”

She frowned,  turning on her heel and heading back for the hotel. Between the noise and the loss of signal there was no way they’d be able to have an actual conversation. At least back upstairs she knew there was a good signal and without Rayven there was no one to demand they share a room. So, it would actually be quiet.

She’d left for a walk to scope out places to eat while they were in town ahead of time. There had been all sorts of suggestions, but she figured wandering around on a little adventure would help keep her mind off of the feeling of wanting to just jump on a plane and head back.

”Yeah, I left...um, if you can hear me- I went outside, but the reception sucks. I’m just going to head back so we can actually talk. Can you hear me? Is that okay? I’ll…” she picked up a jog, weaving between drunken groups of friends, and meandering tourists, ”I’m- heading back- gimme one sec-!”

KG: You Left?

Out of the random cutting in and cutting out that was one of the things that managed to slip through to Kid.

KG: Hello?! Trine? Left where?

He said standing up on his toes trying to see if he could see her anywhere above the small river of people. The started to speed off and it was in that moment that Kid Genius remembered that he had a suit case in the trunk.

KG: Oh shoot! Nononononononononono!!

Kid ran to catch up with the yellow vehicle. He to push by a couple of people in order to do it. Luckly for Kid the taxi hadn't gotten to far when it had stopped for another fair. Kid ran up nearly ran right into it.

KG: Fricken-A.

A random short balding man with one of the loudest shirts KG had seen in a while was looking at him with a very angry face. On his arm was a woman about 4 to 5 inches taller than him in flats with a dress that screamed "It's a living".

Random Guy: HEY buB..g.g.Get yOUr OWn!

KG was hit with the wave of alcohol on the mans breath and it made Kid's face scrunch up. He tried to smile at him.

KG: Oh no sorry dude you can have it it's just...

Radnom Guy: Do do DO do..You knOw WHo i Am?!!

Kid Genius flashed a look at the woman with him. She shook her head slightly as if to indicate that had no idea either.

KG: um...no...i...

It was then that Kid Genius realized that he still had Trine on the other line he quickly put the phone back up to his ear

KG: Trine?! Sorry. Trine?! Are you at the hotel or did you leave?

The drunk man started to slur at him again but Kid gave him the "one second" sign with his hand and the pounded on the trunk twice for the cab driver. The trunk open and Kid pulled out a small suit case and a back back. He slung the back pack over the shoulder of his green lantern jacket and started making his way back toward the way he came.

KG: I don't know if i should just hang up and call you back Can you hear me?

”I’m heading- back. One- sec.” she half slammed into the glass face of the doors that ran the length of the hotel casino, the traction of her converse just not quite up to the task of holding onto the filthy sidewalk with that much energy behind them.

Silence between the doors, then she pushed through the second set and the noise kicked back up. Between the short bouts of talking to himself, and then talking to a man whose voice she didn’t recognize Trine kept catching a decent amount of background noise.

”...Kid? What’s going on?”

What ever was going on it couldn’t have been in Tony’s hospital room…

”Where are you? It sounds crazy over there. You can call back if you want! I might lose reception in the elevator.” she narrowed her eyes, pressing the phone closer to her ear as if that would some how help, ”Can you hear me? Kid?”

She looked down at the phone as she pulled it away from her ear, quickly pulling up the text message screen. Thankfully he had been the last person she’d texted which left his name easily accessible at the top of the list, she could hear the white noise on KG’s end through the receiver, but it was swallowed up by the sound of the lobby.

{At the elevator. Figure the room might be easier to hear. Might get cut off.}

Blue eyes looked up to the screen that displayed which floor the elevator was on, as she put the phone back to her ear, and her eyebrows fell flat.

….It was going to be a while….

”Hey...I’m pretty sure you can’t hear me, but I texted. Hopefully that works.”

Kid pushed passed the small river flow of people towards the hotel where.....ok so he had no idea if Trine was actually staying at that hotel but he did know that someone one the roster would for sure be staying there and hopefully they would be able to figure out where Trine might be.

”Can you hear me? Kid?”

Her voice came over the line clear in between random cut ins and outs.

KG: Hey! yes i can hear you! Well i heard that. Where are you? are you at the hotel? or are you out?

Once again he was responded by a weird static and a bunch of interference. It reached the front doors of the hotel when his phone buzzed randomly in his hand. Kid stopped and looked down at his phone. It was Trine.

{At the elevator. Figure the room might be easier to hear. Might get cut off.}

Kid kicked himself for not thinking of just texting her before. He had got so caught up with whether or not to call her he hadn't even considered the fact that he didn't have to at all. He stopped and started to text back.

{Are you at the Hotel that the roster uses?}

He was going to type more but a group of girls with tiaras and sashes bumped into him knocking his phone to the ground and then kicking it a few feet. They all offered a myriad of apologies and slurred sorrys. Kid nodded and smiled and let them know it was ok. Then he went after his phone. Which had landed off the curb.

{Yeah, discouuuunts! \o/ lol Why? Where are you it sounds busy?"}

Suddenly it sounded like he'd dropped his phone, the sharp clatter cutting through most of the noise on his end, followed by a loud clack and a bunch slurred 'sorrys' from other voices. She furrowed her eyebrows watching as the numbers for the floor counted down.

Kid bent over to grab his phone. It had cracked on the screen. of course it did. But he could still see the message from Trine on the now broken screen.

At least there was one stroke of luck in this horrible plan.

Kid quickly grabbed his phone and adjusted his back pack and his suitcase. He made his way back to the hotel front door. there was a woosh of glass and the feeling of air conditioning hitting his face. The relative silence of the in between the inside and the outside was so abrupt he thought about just standing in it for a second but at this point Kid was pretty sure that something would probably explode soon with the way his luck had been going this far.

instead Kid forged ahead as the sounds of slot machines and dozens of Vegas adventures begining and ending surrounding him. He rolled his suitcase through the lobby and realized that even though he now knew Trine was HERE he didn't know what section of HERE she was currently.

Kid looked back at the phone and put it up to his ear.

KG: Hey Trine? Hold on come back out of the hotel.

He said then looked back at the phone and remembered that texting made more sense. He stopped in the lobby and texted

{Yeah i am fine. leave the hotel}

Kid thought about it and then texted

{Please :p}

Then he though again and shook his head as he texted for a third time

{It's not an emergency or anything. Just...yeah do it}

Trine paused, looking down at the screen of her phone. Something was up. This was all starting to feel a little fishy.

{You can’t tell me how to live my life! >8Y}

She looked up from her phone.

1

And turned on her heel, maneuvering through a group of women with tiaras perched on their heads and some silk sashes. She apologized, trying to worm her way through the small spaces left in between them as they all piled into the now open elevator, and closer to the main section of the lobby. The bells and whistles of the slot machines just beyond the half wall that separated the walkway from the casino section whirred away on her left, every now and then a patron would curse their luck and either try again or move to another machine.

”....What’s going on?”

She asked slowly, looking behind her as if she had any idea what she would even need to be looking for.

”Are y-” the blonde came to a stop just as she passed the corner of the long horseshoe shaped check-in desk. Blue eyes settled on the back of a very familiar jacket and she felt her heart seized up in her chest. She froze where she stood, squinting her eyes in disbelief. She could not be seeing….what she thought….she was seeing. Maybe someone had the same jacket. She looked up.

The person she was seeing, who she thought she was seeing, who couldn’t possible be the person she thought she was seeing- seeing, had their head bowed looking down at a cellphone. Maybe they….just happened to have the same haircut…

A group of people stepped around her, pouring through on either side of the walkway and into the main section. Trine stood at the mouth of the lobby.

”Am I…..am I…..looking at you?[”/color]

Kid looked back down at his buzzing phone.

{You can’t tell me how to live my life! >8Y}

He smiled brightly and wider than he could have stopped himself. Kid began to start typing something witty but then he heard a noise that sound a lot like Trine's voice. Kid put his phone up to his ear.

KG: Hey! i can hear you now! but it sounds weird like it's echoing. But hey if you got my text you really need to leave the hotel. in the most urgent non urgent way possible.

As he spoke Kid turned around in the lobby trying to find which place Trine would most likely becoming down from. He wanted to be able to be able to shock her. That's when he heard...

”Am I…..am I…..looking at you?"

His phone repeated the question a fraction of a second later. Kid swiveled around on his feet looking all around him until...he caught a sight of powerful blue eyes looking in his direction in disbelief. Kid felt his chest kick like a mule and and a moment he thought about all the different shirts he owned and how he should have put on a better one for this. However even in the burning wreckage that was his nerves Kid Genius couldn't help but smile from ear to ear seeing his friend...his friend who was a girl...his friend that was a girl that he liked.

KG: ......Surprise!

Kid said his ear still to the phone. He stood and waved his hand to Trine.
