Women's match was surprisingly good. They worked a great opening pace, though things really slowed down and got a little awkward after Bliss was eliminated. So happy for Becky.

I thought that was the best match of the night tbh,  Alexa Bliss oh my god, How hot did she look lol Kane and brey was just lame, Miz and Ziggler quite good, Thought Slater was awesome in the ring glad he got the tg belt with Ryno, not a bad ppv but not a great ppv.


Styles v Ambrose was good but could have finished with a clean win not with a low blow. So yeah it was ok 6.5 out of 10 for me.

My boy is champ. Couldn't be happier with AJ being champ regardless of how it may go with Cena in the future. Let's just revel in the fact that Owens, Styles and Shinsuke **** Nakamura are our top champions right now.

I think Dave was pushing a lot of NJPW 2 years ago, and I think I can say for all of us, at some point or another, either we know it or not, we are all fans of Asian wrestlers one way or another! And someone NO ONE is talking about that I am marking out on, is Itomi returning to the ring. I love that dude! GTS mofo!

I'd have Shinsuke/Itami on the pre-WM Takeover. But I don't know who Shinsuke faces in the mean time. Another match with Joe next takeover in Toronto. Maybe Bobby Roode early next year.

That would be an awesome match! I tweeted him when I saw he returned at a house show, before they did the taping for his return, and was marking out and he replied with "shhhh" it was possibly one of my best moments on twitter. I think Itami would be a great transition when Shinsuke is ready to move up, and I think it would (personally) be great to see Roode and Itami go back and forth for a while. I think that would be great for NXT as well as good for those two as an example for the younger talent.

Speaking of Roode, how about that guy, not going to lie, marking for him right now. I think, sadly, NXT still has a better roster on usage of talent, than all the WWE right now. The cruiserweights may change that, but that doesn't help Smack Down. They aren't bad but they are lacking a little bit, part of why Backlash wasn't horrible, but it wasn't glorious, you see what I did, brought it back to the conversation point and used a catch phrase!

Also, yes, I'm all for the Asian Invasion.  Asuka is my favorite womens wrestler at the moment, and Shinsuke is up there too for the guys.

Speaking of Roode, how about that guy, not going to lie, marking for him right now.

The best thing about Roode is his entrance music. Never been a fan, really. I find him an above average worker, sort of like Triple H, capable of pulling out the occassional great performance but for the most part he's just okay to me.

I think, sadly, NXT still has a better roster on usage of talent, than all the WWE right now.

Shinsuke, Itami, Aries, Joe vs. Rollins, Owens, Zayn, Cesaro, Rusev, (Balor), Jericho, Neville vs. Styles, Cena, Orton.

That's the way the top tier looks to me, for the men anyway. Raw is stacked but underuses it. NXT has 4 true awesome talents, but they do nothing but squashes for a couple of months then have one decent match.

The "squashes" is more and likely due to the time limit for NXT. An hour show, and having commercials? I don't get that part honestly, but having an hour show, having to show off established favorites and build new talents is not easy to program. For the time they have, I still feel that they are managing the time and talent better than the 3 hours that Raw has and the 2 hours SD has. Do I feel that Raw has better potential, yes of course, do I feel based off the list you put up that SD has huge star power, that is a no brainer, but how the agents are booking the shows and talents, NXT is currently doing a better job, in my mind.

Backlash is prime example of that, it wasn't bad, it was overall a decent show, good matches by everyone involved, but the overall feel of it was just a long SD. The spirit of the PPV didn't come off as a PPV, it came off as a normal USA airing. Look a the last few PPVs through NXT, it felt like a PPV for them. I just hope RAW learns and uses one of my favorite events Clash of Champions and make it feel like a PPV.
