• Entrance Desciption •The lights in the arena go out except for a single spotlight staring straight at the stage. "Rock You Like A Hurricane" blasts from the speakers as Kai Shepard emerges from behind the curtain raising his hands to the crowd. The spotlight dissipates as lights begin swirling wildly around the arena.
Kai walks down to the ring slapping the hands of the fans alongside the ramp. He hops up onto the ring apron and slingshots his way into the centre, before climbing the turnbuckle to pose for the crowd.
• Character Background •Kai comes from a long line of South African wrestlers who achieved success mostly in their own country. He became a world traveler at 22 and since then has won championships in three different countries using his speed and striking abilities. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

• Other notes •In general, Kai uses a lot of basic offense like kicks and punches, or lucha staples like arm drags and hiptosses. He fights completely cleanly - doesn't cheat to win matches by using the ropes for leverage or any kind of dirty pin, doesn't expose turnbuckles, and rarely uses turnbuckles, stairs, or railings against others. He'll try several pinning combinations throughout most matches (cradles, school boys, crucifixes, etc). Kai also
NEVER uses weapons - this is important because even if he is in a **** match he will not use a weapon to his advantage. He'll climb ladders but won't hit anyone with them.

"What do you mean, you got me a deal?”
Kai Shepard took a sip from his glass. There was too much froth at the top, but the beer was still cool, and strong. Another sip was welcomed. He sat opposite his manager, a short, stocky man who had spent far too many years behind a desk. The kind of guy that on Friday nights, at bars, would have a few drinks and end up being shuffled into a taxi singing songs no one wanted to hear. But it wasn’t Friday night, it was Tuesday afternoon, and his work day was not done. He nursed a glass of lemonade.
“Just what I said, Kai. I’ve found a place looking for new workers.”
“And how do you know they want me?”
“They’ve offered a deal. They want you.”
Kai mulled it over with another sip.
“Okay. Details.”
The manager opened a manila folder sitting in front of him, and moved it around to Kai’s side of the table. He began flicking through the files. Mostly photos, a few other documents, and finally, an unsigned contract.
“World Wrestling Generation. Kind of a small place that thinks they’re bigger than they are. Tour the world, though. Most of the other wrestlers are completely nuts. Maybe that’s what they find so appealing about you.”
“Because I’m sane? Why should I go there, Tony? You’ve seen these photos. That place is a horror show.”
“I’ve heard they may want to change their image a bit. Looking for someone a bit more clean cut. They need a new face of the company.”
Kai snorted. “And they’ve picked me?”
“God, no,” laughed the manager. He took a sip of his coke. “You’ve got your **** together, though. You’re entertaining in the ring, and you don’t need six tonnes of weaponry to put people away. You’re not the messiah, here. You’re just a new option. Nothing there will be handed to you.”
The pint glass was empty. Kai reached out and tapped a passing waitress, ordered another. He shot her a smile. She blushed. Kai turned back to his manager.
“How legit is this company? Tell me, is this gonna be GCW again? Do I have to kiss the boss’ ass just to get a match?”
“They’re no GCW, Kai, but yes, you’ll probably have to kiss ass. You’ve been doing this for six years all around the world now. You know they’re all the same.”
The waitress came back over, sliding a fresh coaster onto the table, another pint glass down, and Kai noted with a grin a piece of paper pinned down by the coaster, with a few phone digits scrawled hastily.
“Look, Kai, you haven’t had a deal like this come across… ever. It’s open. No commitment. You can keep coming back over and over until you get sick of it. Standard non-compete clause, but we can work around that. And the pay is pretty generous for someone who hasn’t set the world on fire.”
“Three world championships, Tony. And I’m still in my twenties.”
“What you did in Japan or England doesn’t matter to them much here. But they’re willing to give you a go. You should sign.”
He thought it over. He held up the contract, and looked it over. Read a few of the key items. With his focus on the contract, nothing else took his attention. Kai had always been of single mind. His focus was an asset, one that had made him a champion all over the world. After several minutes, he picked up a pen, and scrawled across the dotted line.
“Send it back to them, Tony. Tell them I’ll be there.”
