WWG.com are proud to announce, for the first time, that James Blackstone has signed a short-term contract with World Wrestling Generation, with the possibility of a contract extension.
Blackstone, 26, is an accomplished independent wrestler, based in California and other western states. Primarily a solo-worker, Blackstone has won 12 championships in his 4 year career, an impressive feat for any wrestling, no matter the level. However, it wasn't until his recent victory in California Independent Wrestling's "Last Man Standing" tournament that Blackstone came to the attention of WWG talent scouts.
"I'm very grateful for the opportunity, and I hope to make my stay in WWG as memorable as possible," said Blackstone, emerging from a contract signing session, earlier today. "I have nothing but great expectations for myself, and I promise to live up to the hype."
WWG.com visited some of the California independent promotions to get thoughts on Blackstone from former colleagues. Many workers said they were impressed with Blackstone's professionality and commented that he was a genuinely nice guy. Others suggested that Blackstone was self-absorbed, always needed to play the hero role, always acting as the knight in shining armour for anyone in distress. Time will only tell what role Blackstone will play in WWG.
It is believed that Blackstone is set to debut during the upcoming episode of Legacy, the Roulette show. Until then, expect a full interview with Blackstone to be released on WWG.com in the next two weeks as he prepares to make his mark on WWG.
